'I think people are going to be really surprised,' Bieber tells MTV News on the set of the 'unique' video.
By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Kelly Marino
<P>While much of Justin Bieber's "Boyfriend" video remains top-secret, MTV News scored a visit to the set Thursday night, and the teen superstar offered up some insight into what Beliebers will see when the clip drops. </P><P> </P><P>"The concept of this video, I mean it's not like a steady concept," he explained on the Cali-based set in between shots. "It's not like 'Justin follows this girl to this spot.' No, it's a bunch of amazing scenes: Like a fire scene, we have an ice scene." </P><P> </P><P><div style="background-color:#000000;width:428px;"><div style="padding:4px;"></div></div> </P><P> </P><P>He continued that the video will also include some of his very fine dancing skills. "It's kind of like bouncing back and forth," he said. "And then there's scenes of me and just a bunch of girl dancers, and just some great shots, great artistic shots, great shots of me smiling. It's fun." </P><P> </P><P>Bieber and Tilley have worked together several times in the past, including on the VMA-nominated "U Smile," as well as "Never Let You Go," "Fa La La" (with Boyz II Men) and Chris Brown's very cinematic "Next 2 U," which features Bieber. </P><P> </P><P>"The video's really good. Colin has done a great job," he said. "The lighting has been amazing and everything's been so unique and I haven't seen anything like it. So, I think people are going to be really surprised." </P><P> </P><P>"Boyfriend" is the lead single off Believe, expected to drop later this year. The song was co-produced and co-written by Mike Posner and Mason Levy. The album will also feature some production from Timbaland, Diplo and will.i.am. </P><P> </P><P><i>What are you hoping to see on the "Boyfriend" video? Leave your comment below.</i></p>

One Direction's Niall Horan tweeted about collabo.

<P>Justin Bieber is loading up on all-stars for his <I>Believe</I> album. The latest is none other than the world's hottest boy band: One Direction. </P><P> </P><P>Direction member Niall Horan broke the news on his Twitter feed Wednesday, writing, "In the studio with our boy @justinbieber last night, it's gona sound great!" </P><P>Bandmate Liam Payne confirmed the Internet-shattering collabo, adding, "Got a first listen to Justin Bieber's new album yesterday wowww big songs!!! It's gunna be a smash ... Expect the unexpected :O." </P><P>Bieber seemed to enjoy the hang with his new pals as well, responding to Payne with the tweet, "@Real_Liam_Payne Thanks buddy. Good chillin with u guys." </P><P> </P><P> </P><P> </P><P>As the Huffington Post reported, Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun, seeded the promise of the shriek-inducing duet, tweeting about the potential One Direction studio action, "[A collaboration is] very possible. He likes them and thinks they are good dudes. All people of that generation should be there to help each other." </P><P> </P><P>The singer is also making some beautiful music with his mentor and guiding light, Usher. On Wednesday, the Biebs tweeted that he was in the studio with, "@iawill and @usherraymondiv going in!" He didn't reveal the name of the song Black Eyed Peas mastermind will.i.am was working on for the pair, but followed with the (grammatically challenged) amped-up thought, "Me and @usherraymondiv gotta have a duet on every album." </P><P> </P><P>They're just a few of the superstars he's recruited for the project. Mike Posner was the co-producer on "Boyfriend," and other bold-faced names in the mix include Timbaland, Drake
and Pharrell, as well as possible assists from Lil Wayne, Ke$ha and Kanye West
. </P><P> </P><P>Bieber has already landed a hit with the first single, "Boyfriend"
 which sold 520,000 downloads
in its first week. </P><P> </P><P>He has plenty of other things to celebrate as well. On Wednesday, the The Hollywood Reporter said that Bieber and Braun will pick up hardware at the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival at the Disruptive Innovation Awards ceremony, where they will be honored for their contributions "in the world of business, technology, arts, entertainment and beyond." </P><P> </P><P>The April 27 ceremony will specifically pay tribute to the pair for the "historic discovery of Bieber on YouTube and his subsequent social media rise." </P><P> </P><P>

After years in the wilderness, Drake finally makes a video for the ages.
By James Montgomery
Drake and Rihanna in "Take Care" video

Over the past three years, Drake has risen from mixtape maestro to genuine superstar; the kind of enigmatic talent who can proudly embrace his "emotional" side one minute, then release the "Practice" video the next. And in doing so, he has carved out a rather unique niche in the world of hip-hop and R&B — and we're not just talking about his sweaters. Often duplicated, but never replicated, there truly is no one making music quite like him.
And yet, despite all that (and no offense to the wobbly, wonderful "Practice" clip), Drake has never made a truly great music video, or at least one that fits neatly into his maudlin, monochromatic world. Until now, that is.
On Friday (April 6), Drake finally premiered his long-in-the-works "Take Care" clip. And yes, it was worth the wait. Full of massively icy landscapes, achingly tense slow-motion footage, artfully framed animals and, uh, Rihanna, it is basically Drake personified. Morose and masterful, slow-burning and incredibly sexual (even when it's not supposed to be), it exudes both an incredible level of restraint and an over-the-top amount of pomp. It is very serious, very cold, very pained. Nothing much really happens, but at its conclusion, you feel like you've been through an awful lot (maybe a journey through the mind of Damien Hirst?). None of his contemporaries — not even the ever-obtuse Kanye — make videos like this, mostly because no one else can get away with it.
Directed by Yoann Lemoine — who described the video to MTV News back in February as "very minimal" (he wasn't kidding) — "Take Care" smolders with an underlying tension. You feel it in the sinewy slo-mo shots of bulls charging and birds taking flight, the gradual crumbling of icons, the shower of arrows and even the tender, charged embrace Drake and Rihanna share. And in that regard, the clip is also a perfect accompaniment to the track's main bit of source material: Jamie XX's lovely, languorous remix of Gil Scott-Heron's cover of "I'll Take Care of You," which practically burns with want.
And when the drums finally do break through, and Heron's voice is echoing around the room, there is, mercifully, a release — one Lemoine shows with footage of burning trees and smoking earth. All the iciness melts away, and we're left with something even more, something elemental. And you sort of feel like you need a cold shower.
And because of all that, "Take Care" stands head and shoulders above most other videos, regardless of genre. Full of bold imagery and a tugging sense of regret and doubt, it isn't merely art for art's sake (though it's easy to see Drake's detractors dismissing it as such); it's actual art. Welcome to the club, Drizzy; you've finally made one for the ages. Who cares if it's been six months since Take Care was released? In the words of another misunderstood genius — the immortal Jack Horner — "This is the film I want them to remember me by."

Disney has announced a release date in April 2014, but what else can we predict about Cap's return to the big screen?

Captain America might be only getting ready to strap on his shield for "The Avengers," but Disney has already announced definite plans for his next solo adventure.
In a press release on Thursday (April 5), Disney set the debut of "Captain America 2" for April 4, 2014 and gave a brief explanation of where the story will take us. "The second installment will pick-up where the highly anticipated 'Marvel's The Avengers' (May 4, 2012) leaves off, as Steve Rogers continues his affiliation with Nick Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D and struggles to embrace his role in the modern world."
The news comes hot off talk of a short list for director candidates, so we've broken down everything we know so far about the "Captain America" sequel.
The Setting
The plot information confirms two items for the Marvel Universe. First, the film will definitely have a contemporary setting, an issue that there's been some back-and-forth on since the release of "Captain America: The First Avenger" last year.
Splash Page spoke with Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, the writers of "The First Avenger," a year ago about their plans for the sequel, which they are onboard to pen as well. The writing team saw the flash forward to the modern era at the end of the original film as an opportunity to explore two different settings, leaving 40s Cap a possibility through flashback.
"It's sort of a weirdly huge opportunity for storytelling in that you know modern Cap through 'The Avengers' at that point, and just by the nature of what we were talking about before, there's going to be a lot of his World War II history we haven't shown," Markus said. "We're going to have two entire timelines to play with."
Nick Fury
We're also sure that Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury will almost definitely survive "The Avengers." Director Joss Whedon is notorious for killing characters, so with Fury removed from the list, the candidates for a possible early demise is whittled down.
The Director
We're still a long way from seeing a second "Captain America" movie, the 2014 release date aside. With director Joe Johnston not returning, the production is currently seeking a director to lead Cap back into the fray, and a report last week from Vulture singled out Anthony and Joseph Russo from "Community" fame as candidates on Marvel's short list of contenders.
The Release Date
While the specific date of April 4 is news, the year 2014 had been batted around for a while. Chris Evans spoke with the Playlist back in September about the effective spacing for the planned Marvel movies. "They may wait until 2014 until they release the next Cap," Evans said. "Marvel has a lot of balls in the air, they aren't going to cannibalize their films."

Check out everything we've got on "The Avengers."
