Mixtape: King of New York

Real Spit: The Notorious B.I.G., Nas, Jay-Z and ... Papoose? At one time or another Biggie, Nastradamus and Hov have all been considered crown-holders in New York's raps king debates, and now Papoose is declaring that his reign over the five boroughs officially begins with his new mixtape King of New York.

"The reason I chose that title is because I am the king of New York," the Brooklyn MC said with confidence to Mixtape Daily. "It feels good to be the king of New York so I just wanted to celebrate myself being the king of New York, so I figured I'd make it a self-titled mixtape."

On the tape, Papoose tackles Jay-Z and Kayne's "Otis" beat as well as French Montana's "Shot Caller" — with zero subtlety. Each time out, Pap lyrically pounds his chest in an attempt to back his grand proclamation. On "Name Calling," the "Law Library" lyricist works vocals from his incarcerated wife Remy Ma onto the track. If Pap is king, then Remy rightfully sits on the throne beside him.

Over the slow, prodding thump, Rem spits, "Back on the scene, crispy with cream/ I'm not the empress or princess, I'm the queen." Her husband remixes the bars to suit his ends and brags, "Back on the scene, True Religion jeans/ I'm not the prince or the servant, I'm the king."

Since announcing the tape's title, Papoose has met some vocal opposition from rap fans, but it hasn't deterred him in the least. He intends to prove his claim, he told Mixtape Daily. "I'm From NY" is the rapper's take on Meek Mill's "Ima Boss," and on "Conan," Pap takes aim at the competition over a triumphant beat.

"This CD is a celebration of my royalty," he said. "I'm just feeling so good."

Apparently.

» "King of NY": "It's just basically breaking down some of the reasons of why I'm the king of New York. The reaction was both-sided, but it was a little bit more to the good side. A lot of my supporters, a lot of my fans reached out. And a lot of my haters reached out who disagree that I'm the king and I just let them know that I intend on proving it."

Joseph Gordon-Levitt Calls Lack Of '50/50' Kiss 'Horrible'

"It's a travesty," actor jokes to MTV News about not locking lips with Anna Kendrick in the film.

Over the weekend, audiences laughed (and cried) along with Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Seth Rogen in the heartfelt comedy "50/50," loosely based on writer Will Reiser's real-life battle with cancer. (Spoilers ahead!)

Gordon-Levitt's thoughtful portrayal of 27-year-old cancer patient Adam takes him on a journey from diagnosis to recovery, breaking up with girlfriend Rachael (Bryce Dallas Howard) and sparking a new relationship with therapist-in-training Katherine (Anna Kendrick) along the way. The budding romance is only teased, however, as the two never seal the deal with a kiss. It was a purposeful omission, the film's writer and stars said at the "50/50" premiere last week in New York.

"We very much resisted them kissing," Reiser told MTV News. "The movie is not a love story. It's about a guy's battle with cancer. If it turned into a love story at the end, we would be betraying what the movie is about. That kiss is the start of another movie."

Kendrick, in fact, was relieved she didn't have to smooch Gordon-Levitt, as they'd become good friends after weeks of filming together.

"The studio wanted to see us kiss at the end, actually. We were thinking about just trying it as an option," she explained. "Joe very wisely stood up and said, 'If we give it to them as an option, they will use it.' So we just decided not to do it, because it really just didn't feel right. And I was relieved, because I had known Joe for too long at that point. It's too weird once you think of someone as a friend to be like, 'OK, I guess we make out now?' "

But Kendrick probably shouldn't share that sentiment with Gordon-Levitt, because as he told it, he was pretty bummed he didn't get to kiss his leading lady. "It's a travesty," he said with a big grin. "It's a horrible injustice, and I'm writing a letter."

Where Will Bruno Mars' 'Rain' Fall In 'Breaking Dawn'?

MTV News takes a closer listen to 'It Will Rain' for lyrical clues about its placement in the film.

On Tuesday (September 27), Bruno Mars dropped the sweeping, heartbreaking "It Will Rain," the lead single from the "Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1" soundtrack, which drops November 8.

The Smeezingtons-produced song is all about the pain someone feels when they are deeply in love. On it, Mars croons tortured lines like "There's no religion that could save me/ No matter how long my knees are on the floor/ So keep in mind all the sacrifices I'm making/ To keep you by my side/ And keep you from walking out the door."

While Twilighters will have to wait until November 18 to find out where the song will be featured in the flick, there are several lyrical cues that offer hints. Hit play on the embedded video as we talk through the song, then read on for a deeper exploration.

The Wedding
Of course it won't appear in the actual wedding scene, like when Bella walks down the aisle, but lines like "I'll never be your mother's favorite/ Your daddy can't even look me in the eye/ If I was in their shoes I'd be doing the same/ Say, 'There goes my little girl/ Walking with that troublesome guy' " certainly mirror Charlie's feelings about the nuptials.

Jacob's Goodbye
When Mars sings, "Don't you say goodbye/ Don't you say goodbye/ I'll pick up these broken pieces till I'm bleeding/ If that'll make it right," it seems to mimic the heartbreak Jacob feels as he sees Bella marry another man and says goodbye to her once more.

The Honeymoon
Sure, the song is about heartbreak and pain, but the sexy, sultry nature of the track could make for the right kind of mood-setter as Bella and Edward finally get it on.

The Pregnancy
As Mars cries, " 'Cause there'll be no sunlight/If I lose you, baby/ There'll be no clear skies/ If I lose you, baby/ And just like the clouds, my eyes will do the same/ If you walk away, every day it'll rain," it mirrors Edward's angst as he thinks he might lose Bella if she has their child, a vampire/human hybrid.

Where do you think Bruno's song would fit? Share your ideas in the comments!

Sienna Miller's Mystery Man Lovin' in London

Igniting a frenzy of new romance rumors, Sienna Miller made the rounds in London, England with a mystery man on her arm earlier today (October 3).

The "Alfie" actress was spotted getting close to - and even kissing - her unnamed suitor as they dined at the Covent Garden Hotel before hitting up the Donmar Theatre to watch her ex beau Jude Law in his new play.

Meanwhile, Sienna recently opened up to The Independent about how stories reported about her in Rupert Murdoch's News International between the years of 2005 and 2006 led her to believe someone in her inner circle was secretly selling her out, as she told, "I sat down in a room with my mother, my best friend, my sister, my boyfriend and said 'someone in this room is lying and selling stories and one of you has got to admit it'."

As for why she decided to go forth with legal action against the publication, Miss Miller explained, "There was no consideration for you as a human being. You were successful, you were making money, therefore you deserved it and it was a very medieval way of behaving."
