'Bad Teacher' co-star Jason Segel, meanwhile, tells MTV News he knows 'more jujitsu.'

Justin Timberlake has spent nearly his entire life bouncing from one pop-culture-focused gig to another: a "Mickey Mouse Club" kid in the early '90s, a boy bander a few years later, a solo artist, an actor and easily one of the finest "Saturday Night Live" hosts in the history of the venerated show.
Good stuff, all. But JT has harbored a secret dream all these years, one he's only now revealing as his upcoming comedy, "Bad Teacher," approaches theaters: He wants to be a martial-arts instructor.
"Karate!" he declared when we asked him what subject he'd love to teach.
Co-star Jason Segel, who, like Timberlake in "Bad Teacher," plays a rather oddball educator, co-signed that real-life teaching aspiration.
"We both love karate. We don't know it," Timberlake explained. "Actually I know karate, and other Asian-influenced words."
"I know more jujitsu," Segel conceded.
Secret dreams or not, our guess is these new careers aren't gonna happen. We're still waiting for JT to turn his attention back to the recording studio. Let's not hold out hope he ends up in a karate dojo too. Though if he or Segel ever do, we pray they don't take any teaching advice from their comedy. Cameron Diaz plays the titular crappy teach, a dope-smoking, F-bomb-throwing slacker of historic, though not singular, proportions. Because, as Segel sees it, there are plenty of teachers out there far worse than Diaz's dud.
"I've had some teachers who were pretty rough, didn't really want to be there," he said. "I think that's the funniest thing about her character: She just doesn't want to be there at all, so it sort of gives her carte blanche to not give an eff."
"She doesn't give an eff," Timberlake added. "Say or do whatever she effing wants."
As students themselves, however, both stars said they received high marks. "I was a pretty good student," JT said.
"I was just taught you obey your sensei," Segel said, going on to reference "Karate Kid." "I was part of Cobra Kai."
Check out everything we've got on "Bad Teacher."

Them Crooked Vultures make their debut with a post-Lollapalooza set.

Officially, Lollapalooza ended Sunday night in Chicago's Grant Park, with dueling sets from the Killers and Jane's Addiction. Unofficially, it ended very early Monday morning, across town at venerable rock club the Metro, with a surprise show by Them Crooked Vultures.
To the unfamiliar, the Vultures might seem like an odd choice to close out Lolla weekend ... until you realize that they're made up of Foo Fighters frontman/ former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl, Queens of the Stone Age mastermind Josh Homme and Led Zeppelin legend John Paul Jones. And their gig at the Metro was their world premiere.
According to some reports, the Vultures actually turned down Lollapalooza founder Perry Farrell's request to replace the Beastie Boys as headliners at the festival, opting to debut in front of some 1,100 super-psyched fans at the Metro, rather than 75,000 in Grant Park (tickets for the gig were announced via Foo Fighter/ QOTSA fan clubs). Meaning that, in a lot of ways, this was the most sought-after ticket in town.
Taking the stage just after midnight, the Vultures — Grohl on drums (of course), Homme on guitar and vocals, Jones on bass and keys and frequent QOTSA contributor Alain Johannes on guitar — ripped through 12 songs in 80 minutes, all taken from their upcoming debut, which may or may not be called Never Deserved the Future, and may or may not be hitting stores on October 23 (early "promo" videos touting both those facts were revealed over the weekend to be hoaxes perpetrated by QOTSA fans).
The songs, with appropriately Homme-ian titles like "Scumbag Blues," "Mind Eraser (No Chaser)," "Caligulove" and "Interlude w/Ludes," sounded pretty much how you'd expect, given the band's pedigree. They rocked, hard — Chicago Tribune critic Greg Kot described them as "fresh, invigorating and just plain nasty" — delving off into psychedelic, reverb-filled excursions and exploring proggy territory, "both of the old-school Yes variety, and the more modern Tool flavor," according to the Chicago Sun-Times' Jim DeRogatis.
It's not known if Monday's Metro performance was a one-off event for the Vultures — there have been whispers of a full-blown tour, but a spokesperson for Homme had not responded to MTV News' request for comment at press time. Nor was it clear whether or not they'll have an album out in October.
Early Monday, a Crooked Vultures Twitter account, which had previously posted links to the band's official-looking Web site and the Metro's online ticketing site — posted a link to what appears to be the group's first bit of official merchandise: a Deserve the Future T-shirt. Cost: $30.

Finished up with the day's press duties, Jennifer Aniston was spotted at Pace University in New York City on Thursday night (June 23).
The "Marley & Me" actress was on-hand for a taping of "Inside the Actor's Studio" with host James Lipton while joined by boyfriend Justin Theroux - with the segment set to air at an undisclosed date next month.
The "Inside the Actor's Studio" stop coincides with the upcoming release of Miss Aniston's new movie "Horrible Bosses" - which hits theaters on July 8th.
Co-starring Jason Bateman and Kevin Spacey, the film is about "three friends who conspire to murder their awful bosses when they realize they are standing in the way of their happiness."

'Justin Bieber is the epitome of [a] big star, so it was cool for me,' McCreery says of his new nickname.

Throughout his championship run on the just-completed 10th season of "American Idol," Scotty McCreery never really wavered from his country roots ... even when he was singing Stevie Wonder.
And while you've certainly got to give him credit for playing to his strengths, McCreery's down-home crooning — not to mention his rather boyish good looks — also earned him a rather bizarre nickname: "Country Bieber." And while he can laugh at the comparisons, if he's being honest, McCreery can't really understand why anyone would equate him to the teen-pop prince. But his fellow "Idol" finalist, Lauren Alaina, certainly can.
"Country Bieber ... I mean, Justin Bieber is the epitome of [a] big star, so it was cool for me," McCreery smiled. "I mean, Justin's a whole lot further ahead than I am ... so, I guess it's mainly because of our age. ..."
"Girls love Scotty McCreery like they love Justin Bieber," Alaina interjected. "It's true."
"Thank you, Lauren," McCreery laughed. "I just figure it's because of our age. Me and Justin are pretty much two young guns."
And with the "Idol" title in the bag, McCreery can now focus on expanding on that whole "young guns" thing ... his first official single, the ballad "I Love You This Big," is already the biggest-selling coronation song since season-seven champ David Cook's "The Time of My Life," and he's beginning to contemplate how his debut album will sound. And, not surprisingly, it's going to be a country affair.
"It's gonna be a good ol' country album," McCreery said. "I like to have that old flavor in my music, but with a contemporary feel, so we'll see where that leads me. I think it'll be a good little mix."
And if you just can't get enough of "Love," well, you're in luck ... McCreery said that you'll have plenty of chances to see him perform it in the coming months on the American Idols Live! Tour. " 'I Love You This Big' is a great song, it's done me really well so far," he said. "And I'll be singing it a couple hundred more times, so I'm sure you'll be hearing it," he joked.

Nicki Minaj joined the bedazzled pop star onstage at the Staples Center for 'Till the World Ends.'

LOS ANGELES — Britney Spears is back. Not that she'd entirely left, mind you.
But the Spears that captivated the audience at the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles on Monday night was the old, fun-loving, free-wheeling Spears — with a sexy, showgirl twist. There wasn't much pretense, though those glamazon outfits blinded in the best way possible. Instead, there was just good dance music.
Spears opened her Femme Fatale Tour last week in Sacramento, and for the most part she stuck to script. There was flash and substance, and Spears appeared as the 29-year-old version of her former self, looking amazing in bedazzled leotards, barely-there cutoffs and midriff-baring outfits.
Show openers Jessie and the Toy Boys, Nervo, and Nicki Minaj set the stage for what was to be a fast-paced night. In her own skintight outfits, Minaj did exactly what an opening act should do: whet the appetite for the main course.
Photos: Britney brings it in Los Angeles.
For Spears' part, she went through about nine songs from her most recent album, Femme Fatale, opening her set with her lusty dance track "Hold It Against Me."
She spent nearly two hours grinding her way through a series of her biggest hits including "3," "Piece of Me," "If U Seek Amy" and a remix of "Boys." A highlight of the night — though, let's face it, nearly every twist and turn she made was met with ear-piercing shrills from the Spears Faithful — was when she straddled a larger-than-life-size guitar to perform a cover of Madonna's "Burning Up." And she nearly brought the house down when she performed "Slave 4 U" with the original choreography (minus the snake).
One tweak, perhaps, from last week's shows, is that instead of having Minaj appear via video for "Till the World Ends," the rapper joined the pop singer onstage.
There were times throughout the night when it was obvious that Spears was lip-synching, but no one in the audience seemed to mind one bit. They were there to be served a shot of Spears straight-up. And they got what they came for.
